Learning Objectives: By the end of the Cannabis9 1 Laws/Regulations and Business class, you’ll be able to provide an overview of the past and current conditions of both US federal cannabis policies and Canadian federal cannabis policies. You’ll be equipped to describe the allowed quantities of cannabis for personal possession and cultivation in a chosen US state. Additionally, you will be skilled in detailing the legal limits for cannabis possession and cultivation in a particular Canadian province or territory, and you’ll have insight into the regulations governing cannabis in a country outside North America.
Lesson 1: Cannabis Laws in the United States – In this lesson, you’ll dive into the laws surrounding cannabis in the US. You’ll explore the historical background of these laws, federal and state regulations, significant court cases, and the consequences of breaking these laws.
